Reduce duration and resolution before pushing quality too far
Video size depends on duration, resolution, frame rate, motion, and bitrate. A long 4K recording may need a shorter range or smaller dimensions before a stronger compression preset can make a useful sharing copy. Keep the original file and change one major size driver at a time.
- Trim introductions, pauses, and repeated footage when the full timeline is not needed.
- Resize a high-resolution source when phone playback does not require every original pixel.
- Use the Small preset only after checking whether duration or dimensions are the bigger problem.
